As a business, we’d rather know what our staff really think about working for SA Homecare Therapies:
We’d rather find out as soon as possible if staff are even the slightest bit unhappy
(so that way we can do something about it)
We’d also like to know if staff are happy at work so we can do more of what’s working well
This is why we conduct staff happiness surveys on a regular basis…
How we survey our staff
We use our our Human Resources platform Employment Hero to send out a staff happiness survey.
It’s anonymous so as to get the most honest responses possible, and asks 2 simple questions:
- How happy are you at work?
- Tell us why you feel this way…

We’ve set up Employment Hero to automatically send this out every 3-months
(staff engagement is the first and foremost metric we regularly monitor on our KPI Dashboard)
How happy are staff at SA Homecare Therapies?
Our most recent results are that:
The average happiness of SA Homecare Therapies employees is 9.3 out of 10

(that’s a slight increase from last quarter’s score of 9.1)
Although we’re happy that our staff are happy, it’s also the comments that we find really interesting
(that’s where we find the opportunities for improvement that we can act upon)
The thing that we’re really happy about from this quarter’s results is how our team are feeling supported:
Two-thirds of staff responded with the words “support” or “supported” in the reason for their score

(this is a reflection of the great work by our supportive team of Therapy Coordinators, Team Leaders, and our Clinical Manager)
How we use this information to improve
We review each individual response to address any specific concerns or develop initiatives like additional training, team-building activities, or policy adjustments.
This round we had one staff member score their happiness as 6/10
(but unfortunately they haven’t left a comment so we don’t know who it is or how we can help)
Other than that, we’re looking into the itchiness of our uniform…

…and it’s hard to do that if our team aren’t happy!
